Have you ever felt like your body was moving at a pace that wasn't sustainable? This is a personal account of how one black educator learned to put herself first to survive burnout. Racquel Armstrong is originally from Cleveland, OH, and is a PhD candidate at Ohio State University in Multicultural and Equity Studies. Her research lies at the intersection of race, gender, class and school leadership, focusing on the role of self-care in educational leadership practice and the disruption of the school-to-prison pipeline and racial violence in schools.
